It's amazing how disparate sources of information can be. One source I'm looking at says Sam Crawford is the career leader in inside the park home runs, while another source says it is Jesse Burkett. Which one is right?

It's amazing how disparate sources of information can be. One source I'm looking at says Sam Crawford is the career leader in inside the park home runs, while another source says it is Jesse Burkett. Which one is right?

Based on BBR's Home Run Logs, the leader appears to be Roger Connor, with 50 IPHR (from 1876-2011, at least). Crawford has 42 and Burkett 20. Of course, this may not be correct; Baseball Almanac's counts are significantly different, and they've got Burkett with 55 and Crawford with 51.
