SAN DIEGO -- After watching their outfield depth dissipate at Triple-A Reno, the D-backs acquired outfielder Michael Restovich from the White Sox on Wednesday for cash considerations.

Restovich, 32, was originally selected by the Twins in the second round of the 1997 First-Year Player Draft.

Restovich played parts of six seasons in the big leagues, appearing in 152 games and hitting .239.

The last time he was in the Majors was 2007 with the Nationals.

At the time of the trade, Restovich was hitting .229 with three homers and eight RBIs in 26 games for Triple-A Charlotte.
