I 1970 after my first 4 years in the Coast Guard I worked at in NC, listen to the Braves game every night. Begging for Carty to hit .400. He did very well for a big slow guy to hit .366.

Yes, Hampton is very competive, his Dad is worse.
Mike's had a few bad breaks but I hoping he works hard and comes back.
A few of the pitchers that have had that surgery come back real strong.

Mike and his wife are great, they really help in the Citrus County and is a big help for the local Boys & Girls Club in Citrus County ( my wife is the president) They try and do everything we need to support the kids here.

They year before he was hurt we were taking BP at the local softball complex and several of us were going yard on a 300 foot fence hitting softballs, Mike come up and hit at least 10 over 400 feet. I tried to get him to retire and play for our local team, even offered to buy beer afterward.
But he went on to play with Atlanta. h
