Good to see Dansby get a couple of big hits today.

Nick Markakis is still a model of Durability. He has played in all 18 Braves games thus far. Between 2007 and 2017, except 2012, when an injury limited him to 104 games, he averaged 158.2 games per season. His total of 1,857 career games (through April 19) is by far the most games played by any active player who has never been selected to an all-star team......(Well, Maybe this year). Markakis would reach 2,001 career games if he played in all 162 this year.

.Okay, back from vacation today! I think I'll pick up on these tomorrow.

And yeah, Markakis almost has 2.0 BBRef WAR and leads the NL with 45 hits and a .344 batting average. Hooray for early-season leaders!

I'll tell you guys one thing that is getting really strange. A handful of people are ready to blame Jose Bautista for everything that's gone "wrong" since he came to the team.

Personality defects or that he is not playing so great and replaced someone who was doing better?

Both, the former assumed. He's starting over Ryan Flaherty, who's hitting .315 in 103 PAs. He's never hit more than .224 in a season, though, so I think it's a little bizarre that those certain people are hitching their wagon to him.

There seems to be a bit of an irrational attachment to Johan Camargo as well, who's playing shortstop right now because Dansby Swanson is on the DL.

Hot dang, that was a great ending yesterday. I"m slowly coming around to the idea that they can finish above .500!

Albies had a pretty good lead for the All-Star game with just a few days to go and then the tide turned for Baez, an obvious case of late ballot stuffing.
