Unsung Braves built for October glory

We take you back in time to the first week of March. The 2008 Grapefruit League was only a few days old. But a National League scout already had caught on to something that hadn't yet dawned on the rest of the hemisphere.

He'd just returned from watching the new, improved Atlanta Braves. It didn't take him long to make this important announcement:

"They're back."

yea, i know. i tried really hard not to get my hopes up when they tied it up. At first, i did of course. But then as i thought about it, it was like watching a car crash in slow motion. Two outs retired easily, zimmerman, up two outs bottom of the ninth. So, I am thinking wow, a walk off homer to end that game, what an opportunity. Then boom! Crap! (and at least zimmerman is on my fantasy team....)

Well, here's to sweeping the pirates.
