Starters in the rotation are hurt.
Closers and setup men...and then some in the bullpen are hurt.
All of this coming at the beginning of the year, especially when the manager doesnt want to have his starters pitch more than 6 or 7 innings to begin with...well, it kind of makes it necessary for the next guy the next night out to have to go out and try and pull up the slack.
I dont care how good your rotation or bullpen is, when you have this many people hurt at the same time, ...even the Yanks or Sox will have their problems.
I dont sweat our rotation or bullpen. Once healthy, I will put them up against any in the league. Even now, we come into tonights game with the 3rd best starting ERA in the NL...and just look at what John did tonight.
Our offense? I dont think there is another NL offense I would trade ours for.
Once we get healthy, everyone had better look out.
This is a team built for the playoffs.

The two main reasons are an inconsistent offense and overuse of the bullpen.
Thank you and good night.
Kind of odd, eh?

Early slump - who or what to blame?
Since the Braves are in an early slump, losing 6 of their past 10, who or what do you think is to blame? My vote goes to the lack of consistency. One day, they blow out a "good" (in quotations because it's early in the season) team, then the next day, they get shellacked by a team like Washington.
What or who do you think is to blame for this?Tags: None
