The Windup: A look at the week that was -- and the road ahead
By John Donovan of Sports Illustrated

    Player of the Week

    David Wright, Mets

Know who had a hotter week than the Braves' Chipper Jones? OK, nobody had a hotter week. But in the interest of spreading things around a little, let's give some credit to the Mets' David Wright...
    --------------------------------------------------------

Um, maybe I'm looking too much into this, but that seems like a blatant snub wrapped up in an excuse.

Wow how do you have two back to back multi HR games and not get named the player of the week by everyone.

(Not the first time Wright be out Chipper for something David didn't deserve in the first place )

(Just kidding Mets fan David really screwed Pedro Feliz out of a golden glove)
    Extend Prado!!!

          Dear Braves People,

Please tell Chipper it is not the fault of Wright or the Mets team as a whole that DW is getting more attention. Nor the fans and NYC at large.
We have the utmost respect for & fear of him. The last thing we need is for CJ to have increased motivation when he plays us.
In fact, we would be more than happy to squire him around our good city if he should wish to take a few days off next time the Braves come to town.

          Thank You

That's not even the worst of it. Conor Jackson was the NL Player of the Week. He did well too, but Chipper, in my humblest of opinions, was slightly better.

How about another article that is completely ridiculous?

                MLB Fantasy Fifty
Written by Roger Rotter of FoxSports

                MLB Fantasy Fifty
1 David Wright 3B NYM He's a force in all five fantasy categories

                Just Missed
54 Chipper Jones 3B ATL Even nearly at age 36, he's third in MLB with .404 average
.404 Average? This guy is about 50 points off (49 to be exact: .453).

This article was "updated" on April 21st at 1:47 EST. Check out the responses to this guy's article, another VERY TELLING statement.
