In an interview, John Smoltz said he'd be willing to return to the Braves bullpen, most likely in the closer role.

I'll support him with whatever decision he decides to make. Either scenario would be good in its own way. That is, if he's able to pitch well in either role.

Erm... no, they can't. He wants to be in San Diego because that's close to home. Plus, the Braves won't be able to afford the $10 million salary of his, OR be able to stand the amount of players that they'd have to give up.
