I didn't think Mazzone could return to baseball until next season anyway. The O's are paying him for 2008. It would be great to have him in Atlanta again, but I think thats just wishful thinking. I haven't been that impressed with McDowell, but its hard to get anything done when your pitchers are always getting injured. My collection of autographs: TTM Autos

You see the difference in organizations and how things are run and, believe me, the Atlanta Braves are about as good as it gets.Last edited by Atlanta Braves Freak; 05-20-2008, 07:20 PM.2nd member of the Peter Moylan Fan Club

McDowell is a fine pitching coach in my opinion and may be better suited for the possible injection of young pitchers the Braves may see in the coming years.

Leo was the man. And that's just it, he WAS the man. Now I think the braves have moved on and McDowell has done a fine job, considering the roadblocks he has encountered. I don't think Leo could gain the resect he deserves from the young guns who are up and coming. I'm sure ol Bobby would love to have a great friend back in the organization. He could probably work out as a scout, but I don't know if he's up for the traveling aspect of that position.
