      It's not a bad move. He's not B. J. Upton 2.0

Nick Markakis is leaning toward undergoing neck surgery to repair a bulging disc, may be out for 12 weeks

He'll probably be ready by spring training.

Just get the surgery and hope he's ready to go. Like I said in the other thread, I'd rather have him have a healthy neck, as it was one of the issues that he had the past year that hurt his batting a little.

I'm sure they know what they've done.

I say they sign Brett Anderson.

He's about as much a project as Medlen is. Maybe they sign both.

That'd be okay with me. That 2012 summer with medlen is something that will be forever etched in my memory.

Yep and in the short term, Medlen can have that old long-relief role that used to make everyone I know so mad, especially when Kawakami was starting instead of him.

                        Until Anderson inevitably hurts something.

Also, why not take a risk with a one-year deal with Gordon Beckham? Couldn't hurt. Gosselin would be a lot more valuable as a utility guy, anyways.

Well... he'd be a more expensive version of Tommy La Stella, so it would look really really bad.

Braves sign Cuban outfielder Dian Toscano on a major league deal:

Still have NO clue why we dealt him.
