    Since 2005, all I've tried to hope is "why can't they have the breaks go FOR them for once?" Then they get hit with overmanaging, Brooks Conrad, Sam Holbrook and Juan freaking Uribe.

    No one can take the team as it is now to the World Series, not even Maddon or Francona. Besides, I think they need to concentrate on getting to the NLCS first.

    Lachlan Wells (Twins) allowed an inherited runner to score, but had two scoreless innings otherwise. de San Miguel (Royals) had the lone run score for Australia with a homer.

    Jurickson Profar (Rangers) had a 3-3 day with two doubles to lead the Netherlands. Xander Bogaerts (Red Sox) and Wladimir Balentien (Tokyo Yakult Swallows) had two walks. Despite walking four batters, Juan Carlos Sulbaran (FA) pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings.
