  • Going to Wrigley any Tips

OK I am a Mets Fan, but I am visiting Chicago this summer and I have made a stop at Wrigley a MUST DO and one of my lifes goals.

Any tips (I already have the ticket for the Cubs/White Sox game)

I have seen the atmosphere on TV at Wrigley and it looks totally awesome

I have 1 bit of advice. Don't wear any White Sox gear.

      Don't drive to the ballpark.

        1. Don't Drive to the Ballpark. Take the Red Line. Parking will set you back at least $20, probably $30, and walking home will be faster.

        2. I don't like the food at Wrigley, it's not good compared to other ballpark food. As a season ticket holder, I always eat before/after. There are tons of great places around the park. I like the burgers in Bernie's outdoor patio. El Jardin on Clark is good if you like Mexican

If your coming to Chicago you simply have to eat pizza. Chicago is the Pizza capitol of the world. We make NYNY pizza taste like Dominos. I recomend Pats Pizza about 3140 N Sheffield or Petes about 3627 N Western. Theres a Leonas down on Belmont to and I think theres a Lou Malnottis if your into deep dish pizza.

But theres hundreds of good pizza joints in Chicago.

Driving to the park is fine. You will pay $20 to park, but I have done so many times. I have parked right next to the first base side of the park most visits. Literally 75 feet from the park.... Cars will be packed in tight, so you will probably not be able to get out right after the game. You will need to get their early. I was there for BP, with my son who was trying to get autographs, so we were there plenty early. These lots are small, and fill up fast.

After the game, when you car is still parked in by the others in the lot, go get something to eat at a nearby restaurant. There are lots withing walking distance.

Get your car later.... and avoid the thousands of people trying to get on the train immediately after the game.
