WHAT?!?! Barry Bonds Signs with the Chicago Cubs!! Ugh!

In a stunning turn of events, the Cubs finally found the left handed bat with a high on base percentage they were looking for. The Cubs have signed Home Run King Barry Bonds to a 2 year deal worth approximately 24.5 Million. He can raise the total amount of his contract to a cool 32 Million in incentives. Lou Pinella was very surprised with this development. He believes this puts the Cubs over the top. He plans on shifting Alfonso Soriano to Right Field, Kosuke Fukudome to Center Field, and Barry Bonds will take over Left Field. Everybody is getting into this act of a April Fool joke. I've seen this somewhere else too. Now tell me do you really want Cheater Bonds with the CUBS? We have a fine enough team as it is. Our local (Chicago) National Public Radio station reported that the Chicago Cubs had actually won the 1945 World Series because it was determined by the league that Detroit used a player that shouldn't have been on the roster. It was a nicely produced scam, including interviews.

I admit, I fell for it. It was early and I just got up!
