  • Do not rename Wrigley

There are some things in this world that should never be bothered. The Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore and Chicago style Pizza are just some of the things that deserve to be handled by God. A new greedy Cubs ownership have laid it on thick as they want to do the unthinkable; rename Wrigley Field for money. We here at KeepitWrigley.com are determined to do our part to stop this ridiculous idea. Wrigley Field is Wrigley Field and should be forever. Please sign our petition to show your support of not renaming Wrigley Field. This is not just for Cub fans, this is for all baseball fans and fans of life. We need to start spreading the word so God's home field keeps its sacred name.
Wrigley Field is as much a part of Cubs baseball as the 7th inning stretch. Sign this petition to keep the ballpark on Clark and Addison the friendly confines we've come to know and love.

    dbacksfan95,

Even though I am truly honored to come here and see a site/concept that I personally created to be linked and a request for support. I have to say, this forum over the years has always had a strict policy when it comes to advertising. (Without the permissions of the webmaster.) So please be careful on posting links to KeepitWrigley.com

With that said any support given for this cause will be welcomed with open arms. Take a look at the site and you will see NO ads no request for donations or links to where you can spend $30 for a cheaply made tshirt.... Just a petition for the cause!

Thanks again dbacksfan95... I was touched to see this thread...

I gotcha. and if they have a problem with this, this is not a true baseball board because this topic is way too serious to be considered an ad or needing permission to get some sigs.

I am not in that position, so maybe it is easy for me to say. But I think I would respect history. Of course Wrigley is also a company name, but a name that has been linked to that stadium for generations.

I know that this game is all about money, but can we at least respect some of the last historical buildings.

If Yankee Stadium will be demolished, Wrigley Field and Fenway Park will be the only pre 1960 MLB stadiums left. The third oldest stadium will be Dodger Stadium then... Sad but true.

A.J. Do you really think that the Webmaster will tell you to stop this? It is no commercial website. It serves a good cause.

Like you I have been a member here for years, and out of the respect I have for Sean and the mods I would never want them to think I was taking advantage of the site to post things that were against the site's policies. When I posted that reply dbacksfan95 and/or other members had posted similar threads in 3 different forums. I feared the response to such posting.

Mentioning Wrigley field in the same sentence as the Statue of Liberty is pretty ridiculous.

And I'm sure given the chance God himself would smite that place

No, and I'm not hating on wrigley.

People will call it Wrigley even if they rename it, tear it down, build a new one and name that one Trident Field.

                              It's French?

Seriously, go back and review the laws regarding something on the historical register.... the marquis isn't going anywhere.
