    i can live with it. His defense isnt great (a bit under average, but not much), but his offense is pretty good.

      Dusty Baker has been surprisingly smart this spring, with Murton, Cedeno and now Walker winning jobs they did not have locked up by any means (although they were the best options at all three). Let's hope it carries over into the season

        At least Walker can field compared to the bitter division rivals' second baseman, the Cardinals' Junior Spivey. When my army raids Wrigley Field next Friday, Spivey better get his act together or he'll find himself traded.

          Uh, last time I checked, Aaron Miles is going to be the starting second baseman for the Cards.

            for the short term.

            La Russa said Spivey and Luna "are losing playing time to the guy that was the underdog," but the move is not permanent.
            its not like miles is all that good either.

              I think it's sad that the Cards wouldn't give Grudzielanek $3 million because they only wanted to spend $2 million for second base. Talk about being cheap.

                It doesnt seem like the cards are short on money, so i dont see why they didnt just give it to him
