Wow, I cant believe the seasons over. Im really gonna miss this roster and Baker. I honestly thought we were gonna do it this year. I had a stronger feeling than 2003, 2004 and 2005 combined. This will deffinently go down as one of the MOST dissapointing. How many other seasons were as dissapointing as this one? 1969? 2001? 2004? 2006 will rank right on up there with em.

    Players still on the bench:

    Reyes
Already in extra innings.. there is no way you want to use your backup.. backup catcher....

    Starters

    Pierre
    Bynum
    Lee
    Jones
    Murton
    Moore
    Blanco
    Cedeno

Players that had already came off the bench:

    Theriot
    Mabry
    Soto
    Pagan
    Izturis
    Coats
    Ramirez

    Players still on the bench:

    Reyes

So using a pitcher was the best bet to score the run.

In my book that there play should be an error in itself. First you shouldnt bring Mateo to pinch run for the winning run, 2nd the fielder who threw home should have gotten him out. I think the CF, Mateo and Baker all deserve errors on that play, course, that wouldnt be the first error for Baker this season.
Blanco doesnt come close to scoring on that play...

who would you put out there?

Boy, I look at his swing when hes on and I can see D. Lee having some phenominal seasons left in him if he stays healthy. Assuming the Cubs can fill their roster with some hitter so's the man can see some pitches. Derrik Lee is one hell of a hitter. I'm talking about his 2 HR day the other day. He has a sweet swing doesnt he?
