The Cubs have traded 24 year old infielder Alcantara to the Athletics receiving 30 year old outfielder and former Cub Chris Coghlan in return. Coghlan had a career year for the Cubs last season and was traded in February of this year to the Athletics for pitcher Aaron Brooks.
