  • what can we excpet from edwin encarnacion

Is ge going to play in the wbc? I know the reds freed up room for him to start at 3rd, so that must mean something about his talent. Will he breakout into like a solid hitter or still more time needed?

I expect the same as last year, probably a little better average, hopefully not as many errors.

For the future, I really hoping for an all-star evrey year.
Unlike most other team sports, in which teams usually have an equivalent number of players on the field at any given time, in baseball the hitting team is at a numerical disadvantage, with a maximum of 5 players and 2 base coaches on the field at any time, compared to the fielding team's 9 players. For this reason, leaving the dugout to join a fight is generally considered acceptable in that it results in numerical equivalence on the field, and a fairer fight.

      Defensively
should be the rangiest 3B in the NL next year. he's going to have a few throwing errors. all young leftside middle infielders have them. it isn't usually until there 2nd or 3rd season in the majors they stop doing that. as well, i think it will take Dunn two or three months to begin picking balls out of the dirt consistantly, so that'll probably hurt EdE as well.

      Offensively
assuming he actually plays all year and isn't too stifled by Aurilia/Freel, he should do about a 260/340/440. i doubt he'll do it next year, but he should be a perenial 40 double, 25 homer guy.

Encarnacion will be 23 this year. It is time he was given 500 AB's show us whathis future holds. If he is constrained by Aurilia/Freel he is either not the real deal or the manager is a boob.

He is supposed to be the best player in the system I agree it is time to find out!
It's just throwing and catching and hitting and running. What could be simplier?
