started a topic Pat Moran tablet

    Pat Moran tablet

While researching a different subject in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle newspaper for August 18, 1924, in Cincinnati, a paragraph stated a tablet would be dedicated at Redland Field,(Crosley Field). The tablet would honor the late Pat Moran, with speeches from dignitaries, and Pat Moran, Jr., would do the unveiling. Question. This is the first I heard of this. I managed to ask Hal McCoy, famed sportswriter about this, if he knew about it, or perhaps the whereabouts of it. He responded through Facebook, a terse no!. My question to the fans of Reds baseball, if they ever seen it, or know more about it, as to where it might be. Thanks!

According to Greg Rhodes' 2007 book, Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Highlights, page 90:

After the season was over, friends of Pat Moran had a large bronze plaque made to honor the late manager and it hung at Crosley Field for many years. Today it hangs in the Reds Hall of Fame.
    Hope this helps.
