    The Reds went 102-60 under skipper Sparky Anderson, but couldn't vanquish the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series, losing 4-1. They settled for a pennant, which isn't a terrible consolation prize. Thirty-three players suited up for the club, of which 25 are still with us:
