    Reds' Ruhle diagnosed with cancer
It's not the pace of life that I mind. It's the sudden stop at the life.

and amazingly he doesn't expect to miss any serious time during the season.

he was clean at the end of the year, and they found it this spring, so Mr. Ruhle should be fine.

Let's hope so, my prayers are certainly with him. If the cancer doesn't kill him, I fear the Reds starting rotation just might.

Apparently it's the same form Mel Stottlemyre had:

That form is multiple myeloma, a cancer of the blood marrow (which is why it was detected in blood tests). It's a tough one that claimed the life of former Flyers hockey coach Roger Neilson after a long battle. But Stottlemyre has been doing well, which is good news for Vern.
