  • Cinncy Ballpark Tips

Hi all. I'm going to be doing a mini baseball trip and Cinncy is on my itinerary. I was wondering you guys could give me an tips about seating, in park food/deals, parking, etc. Some ballpark websites have this info but its typically written by a guy that visited the park once. I'd rather get the "inside scoop" from the real fans.

    Thanks for reading!

I posted a lot of stuff in this thread:

What else would you like to know? As far as seating goes, I'd recommend the Sun/Moon Deck for the best bang for your buck.

Yeah, i know everyone wants to see Bruce but cmon people, he is 20. Even though i didnt like it at first, its beginning to look like the C Patt acquisition is very nice. We have 3 good outfielders for one spot and they can spell Jr and Dunner and replace them when Jr gets hurt. Last i checked Bruce was on the interstate in Louisville....give him time, go Reds!

I'm going to see the Reds and Sox on the 14th with 7 other guys for my bachelor party. I can only find bleacher seats on stub hub for $35 a piece. Is scalping a viable option or do I just need to bite the bullet and pay $35 per ticket?

            Any help would be great!

The actual cost is $22 per ticket and scalpers might make it $40-$50. I would suggest just go to another game. The series before and after, bleachers cost $7 and are almost guarenteed not to be sold out. But, that's what I do.
Unlike most other team sports, in which teams usually have an equivalent number of players on the field at any given time, in baseball the hitting team is at a numerical disadvantage, with a maximum of 5 players and 2 base coaches on the field at any time, compared to the fielding team's 9 players. For this reason, leaving the dugout to join a fight is generally considered acceptable in that it results in numerical equivalence on the field, and a fairer fight.

That's one of the hottest tickets in town in recent memory. I'd jump on bleachers at $35, even though that's five times normal bleacher prices...

You could park on the Kentucky side of the river. Take the first/last (Bellevue/Newport) exit and head east towards Bellevue. Turn right at the Party Source and go approximately one block south before turning in to the parking lot opposite Frisch's. You can catch the shuttle from there straight to the ballpark for just $1.25. Parking is free. New shuttle every 15 mins for an hour before and an hour after the game.

Well, the Reds actually added $15 to every ticket in the park so the ticket costs the same as tickets do on Opening Day.

I ended up getting 7 tickets together in section 518 row J for $28 off an internet site.

Sure, I know... but normal bleacher prices are only $7

Yea we picked the wrong game to go to. I could have gotten amazing seats for the same price to a different game.

Ah, screwed by the old "Premium Game" marketing scheme. You gotta love what MLB has become! Yet, I still keep going. Go figure.:noidea
