  • Ryan Freel, Former Reds Player, Dies at 36

Apparently committed suicide. Damn shame when people believe that's their only option.

Scrappy player who pretty much played anywhere in the field. From comments I've read on sites, he was well liked by many Reds fans.

Ryan Freel... That's a name I haven't thought about in a while. I always appreciated his hustle, I wish the Braves would have had him.

It's a shame he had to end his life.

Freel was a definite fan favorite, the type of scrappy player Reds fans reallty root for to contribute whenever they can.

It's always tragic when it comes to this. RIP.
