  • Tulo Injured

Update: Tulowitzki has suffered a torn tendon in his left quadriceps and could be out at least until the All-Star break, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Recommendation: Tulowitzki injured the quadriceps Tuesday against the Giants, a game he was scheduled to have off, but was forced into action after Jeff Baker went down with a popped blood vessel in his middle finger during batting practice. The injury compounds an already frustrating start to 2008 for the 23-year old, who is batting .152 with 11 RBI
More bad news for the Rockies.

SS Troy Tulowitzki (strained left quadriceps) left the April 29 game, and he didn’t play April 30. He is likely to be placed on the disabled list.

INF Jeff Baker (broken blood vessel in right middle finger) was scratched from the lineup April 29, and he didn’t play April 30. He hopes to avoid a trip to the disabled list.

RHP Kip Wells (numbness in right hand) went on the 15-day disabled list April 29.

LHP Micah Bowie (left forearm strain) went on the 15-day disabled list April 22.

RHP Jason Hirsh (strained right rotator cuff) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list. He threw off a mound for the first time April 25, and he will be out until at least mid-May.

RHP Luis Vizcaino (strained right shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 4. He had significant soreness and called off an April 20 batting practice session when the issue reappeared following a bullpen session
