    _______Rockies 13-21 vs Cardinals 22-13_______

_______Jorge De La Rosa 0-1 20.25era vs Kyle Lohse 3-1 3.79era_______

Brian Fuentes is 3-for-3 in save opportunities since taking over the closer job from Manuel Corpas on April 24. ... Omar Quintanilla has a career-best five-game hitting streak and has hit at least one double in four of those five games. ... Alberto Arias made his first appearance with the Rockies this season on Wednesday, pitching two scoreless innings of relief. Arias is the 18th pitcher the Rockies have used this season, which is the most in the National League and tied with the Rangers for tops in the Majors.

Ryan Ludwick has a seven-game hitting streak, hitting .550 (11-for-20) in that span. He is 7-for-9 (.778) against the Rockies this week, collecting his fifth home run to leadoff the fifth. ... After collecting 11 extra-base hits in the first two games of the series, the Cardinals were held to one on Wednesday, the Ludwick solo homer. ... Rick Ankiel leads the Majors with seven game-winning RBIs, the most recent one coming Tuesday in Colorado. ... Wainwright's 0-for-3 night at the plate ended a stretch of three straight games with the Cardinals pitchers hitting safely, going 4-for-7 (.571) with three RBIs from Sunday to Tuesday.

after the comeback i think the Rockies will be pumped and ready to go. i think thats exactly what we needed and now its time to ride that momentum. If we end up tying this series with one of the best teams in the league, i'll take it.

I sure hope so. Hope, De La Rosa can keep the Rockies in the game like Francis did. We really need a win by a starting pitcher other then Cook.

34 games and 18 pitchers used by the Rockies. Wow!
