    Game 1 Monday June 2nd 8:10 MT-TV: FSN | Radio: KOA 850
    TV: PRIME-HD | Radio: KABC 790, KHJ 930

    Dodger Stadium

    _______Rockies 20-37 at Dodgers 27-29_______

    _______Greg Reynolds 0-2 5.40 vs Derek Lowe 2-5 4.52_______

Rockies: Reynolds had all kinds of command issues in his last start in Philadelphia, as he walked eight batters and allowed five hits and six earned runs in 5 2/3 innings. Three of those walks led to home runs by Chase Utley and Geoff Jenkins in the fifth inning. Reynolds threw 101 pitches, but only 51 for strikes. This will be the fifth career Major League start for the 22-year-old righty, who is searching for his first victory.

Dodgers: Derek Lowe turned in his best start of the year, one of the best in several years and was in position for his first win in nearly five weeks with seven scoreless innings against the Cubs. He scattered four hits and had the pressure on throughout, as the Dodgers' offense gave him only one run support. He has lost his last four decisions to the Rockies.

Umpire Brian O'Nora, who left Saturday's game with a left leg injury, did not work Sunday's series finale with the Cubs, a 5-3 Rockies loss. Mike Muchlinski subbed for him behind the plate. ... Lefty reliever Micah Bowie, who hasn't pitched since April 21 because of a forearm strain, will face hitters in Los Angeles on Tuesday and is close to a Minor League rehab assignment. ... Left fielder Matt Holliday (left hamstring strain) and infielder Clint Barmes (right knee sprain) are participating in full workouts at Coors Field, but the Rockies will be careful to control the pace of their progress in an effort to avoid setbacks. ... Righty reliever Luis Vizcaino, at Triple-A Colorado Springs on a rehab assignment, pitched an inning of shutout ball on Saturday and Sunday. Right fielder Brad Hawpe will begin his rehab assignment on Sunday. ... Left-hander Franklin Morales, optioned to the Minors on April 30, pitched 6 2/3 shutout innings for Colorado Springs in Sunday's 4-0 victory over Sacramento. Morales struck out five and gave up just two hits, but he also walked five and threw 105 pitches. Control is the reason he's in the Minors. ... Garrett Atkins ended an 0-for-15 skid with a fourth-inning single on Sunday.

Las Vegas starter Jason Johnson (7-2) waived his opt-out clause for June 1, but has another in his contract for July 31. ... Among Torre's pregame visitors Sunday were baseball Hall of Famer Yogi Berra and Horse Racing Hall of Fame trainer Bobby Frankel and jockey Kent Desormeaux. The latter, who rides Big Brown on Sunday in the Belmont Stakes with a chance to be the first Triple Crown winner in 30 years, threw out the ceremonial first pitch Sunday night, wearing a Mets uniform. ... The Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic will be played at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 9. It will be the first time the game will be at an MLB stadium. ... Madonna will perform at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, Nov. 6, and tickets for the event went on sale Sunday. It will mark Madonna's first performance at Dodger Stadium and her first in the Los Angeles area since 2006.

    Game 2 Tuesday June 3rd

    Game 2 Tuesday 8:10 MT-TV: FSN-HD | Radio: KOA 850
    TV: PRIME-HD | Radio: KABC 790, KHJ 930

    Dodger Stadium

    _______Rockies 20-38 at Dodgers 28-29_______

    _______Jeff Francis 1-5 6.12vs Brad Penny 5-6 5.66_______

Rockies: Francis had inconsistent location against a tough Cubs lineup. At times he paid, at times he made key pitches. He went five innings before being removed for a pinch hitter in the sixth, and he held the Cubs to three runs -- one on a Derrek Lee homer -- and six hits, striking out five.

Dodgers: Penny was hammered again by the Mets in general and David Wright in particular. Penny's fastball was hitting 93 mph consistently, so his arm seems to be sound, but something is very wrong for a two-time All-Star whose ERA has nearly doubled from last year. In his last six starts he's 0-4 with a 9.43 ERA.

Todd Helton extended his hitting streak to nine games with a single in the first inning Monday. ... Greg Reynolds has 18 walks and nine strikeouts in five big league starts. ... The Rockies are 18 games under .500, the furthest they've been under the break-even mark since ending the 2005 season at 67-95.

Jeff Kent hit his 371st career home run in the first inning Monday, breaking a tie with Andruw Jones and Gil Hodges for 64th place on the all-time homer list. ... The Dodgers hit three homers on Monday for the first time since May 15. ... Lowe executed a perfect suicide squeeze in the series opener, bringing home catcher Danny Ardoin. ... In all, the Dodgers scored as many runs for Lowe as they had during his previous four starts combined. ... Los Angeles has beaten Colorado six of seven times this season. The Rockies have lost eight in a row and 11 of 13 overall. ... Catcher Rene Rivera was promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas. Double-A Jacksonville pitcher Danny Muegge was placed on the disabled list retroactive to Friday with a right deltoid strain.

      Game 3 Wed June 4th 1:10 MT-Radio: KOA 850
      TV: PRIME-HD | Radio: KABC 790, KHJ 930

      Dodger Stadium

      _______Rockies 21-38 at Dodgers 28-30_______

      _______Aaron Cook 7-3 3.66 vs Clayton Kershaw 0-0 5.59_______

Rockies: Friday at Wrigley seemed to be a typical Cook start in 2008. He was forcing grounder after grounder. But he gave up three home runs in his final 1 1/3 innings, and wound up charged with 10 hits and seven runs in 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision. At least Dodger Stadium doesn't have the issue of winds kicking up and blowing balls out of the park, as what happened to Cook against the Cubs.

Dodgers: Kershaw allowed a first-inning home run and was wild throughout a 3 2/3-inning outing, being charged with four runs on five hits and four walks. His fastball was a little too lively, his curveball erratic and he didn't seem to use the changeup as much as he did in an impressive debut against St. Louis.

Glendon Rusch will start June 12 against the Giants, Hurdle said, but he'll bump Jeff Francis a day to June 14 so his left-handers won't pitch on consecutive days. ... Mark Redman allowed a run over seven innings in his last start at Triple-A Colorado Springs. Hurdle said that Redman's command has improved and his sinker is more efficient than earlier starts with the Sky Sox or Rockies. ... Todd Helton extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a third-inning RBI single Tuesday night. The first baseman went 1-for-2 and drove in his seventh run in the last eight games. ... The Rockies' 3-0 win Tuesday helped the club avoid becoming the third team since 2000 to lose 14 straight road games.

Dodgers pitcher Brad Penny had won nine straight decisions against the Rockies in his career before taking the loss Tuesday, the longest consecutive victory streak of any Colorado opponent in franchise history. Penny dropped to 14-3 against the Rockies in his career, taking his first loss since Aug. 25, 2005, a span of 13 starts. ... Second baseman Jeff Kent will take a scheduled day off during Wednesday's matinee against the Rockies. Luis Maza will start in his place. ... Catcher Russell Martin was presented with the 2007 Tip O'Neill Award on the field before Tuesday's game. The award honors a Canadian player who excels in individual achievement and team contribution while adhering to the sport's highest ideals. ... Outfielder Andrew Lambo, catcher Kenley Jansen and pitchers Steven Johnson and Miguel Ramirez of Class A Great Lakes were named to the Class A Midwest League East All-Star team.
