  • all-time Colorado Rockies team

Now before I begin, I just want to say that I'm thinking of doing something with these 'all-time teams' whatever the lineups and rosters end up being.

Anyway, what is your all-time Colorado Rockies team?

    1B: Todd Helton (LF/RF)
    2B: Eric Young (3B/SS/OF)
    3B: Vinny Castilla (SS)
    SS: Neifi Perez (C/2B/3B)
    C: Ben Petrick (OF/1B)
    LF: Dante Bichette (OF)
    CF: Juan Pierre
    RF: Larry Walker (OF)
Util: Juan Uribe (contriversial choice I know)
    Mike Lansing (2B/3B)
    Quinton McCrackon (OF)

(This was a pain in the 'you know what' to do, because it's hard to choose from pitchers who pitched at Coors Field...)
    SP: Dave Vears
    Steve Reed
    Mike DeJean
Pedro Astacio (might do split time with the all-time LA Dodgers)
    Jerry Dipoto

    RP/CP: Curtis Leskanic
    John Thomson

    Manager: Don Baylor

Even though he can't take the starting first base job from Helton, Andres Galarraga should be added to the list as a utility player.

Lol, you're certainly right, there isn't alotto choose form in the pitching department. I would say that Jason Jennings desreves one spot, though, and after throwing for the club's single best ever ERA last year, Kennedy may not be far behind. Jose Jiminez, the team's all-time saves leader probably deserves a shot of making this staff.

In the 1920's, Harry Heilmann led the AL with a .364 average. In addition, he averaged 220 hits, 45 doubles, 12 triples, 16 homers, 110 runs, and 130 RBI.

Since this is going to be alittle bit harder than other all-time teams, I'll say this:

Attention: Only 1 week and 4 days left for you to fill out your entries for the all-time Rockies team.

After that time has passed we will discuss who out of the chosen makes the 25 man roster.

Bichette couldn't catch a cold in left field. I use to like Bichette until he was the 3rd out at 3rd when he was trying to join the 30/30 club. I don't like any player that put's himself above the club for personal gain.
