Thank you CD. I wonder if any of these will be televised here, or will we just get all the Yankees and Red Sox games. And they will NOT be swept. Tell yourself that every night before you go to bed each night!!

No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference. ~Tommy Lasorda

I would think the TBS feed will have all the games covered.

Unless baseball coverage is handled differently in Australia. All the games will be on one channel here in the States.

Don't think so. I'm a cards fan, but they have struggeled themselves in the last weeks of the season. Their hitting seems to struggle a little and their pitching showed weeknesses too. I think it will be a close series.

Dude, Carpenter and Wainright = 1-2 KO Punch

This thing was over before it started.

Which is why I don't like the 5 game series. A 7 game series forces you to pitch at least 4 starters just to win. That's a good representation of your starting pitching. Dodgers don't have a strong number 1, but they have 3-4 good number 2 pitchers.

I know we're gonna lose, but I just couldn't resist.

The Dodgers face a tough road here, but if the bats come alive they could make it through.

                    That's a big if.

When you win 3 games out of 10 before clinching a division, there are big problems.

2 out of 3 against the Nats; I can live with that.
1 out of 4 against the Pirates; that's WTF territory
Bagel out of 2 against the Padres; people go on suicide watch

Losing Friday against the Rockies and having them one game back was almost enough to have me ask for someone to kick the chair out from under me.

Manuel Ramirez is done. No lady pills, no production. Kemp and Ethier cannot continue to carry this team offensively.

Casey Blake, our lone power-hitting infielder, has had a bothersome hamstring for the better part of September. Loney, Hudson, and Furcal will ground into double plays most of the time they're up.

But wait! We have Russell JJJJJJJJJJ Martin!

Big win tonight. Glad to see Mark Loretta get the game-winning ribbie. I loved him for the brief time he was a Red Sox. Hope you guys can finish the Cards off in St. Louis.

I've worshipped Buddha, Allah, Brahma, Vishnu, Siva, trees, mushrooms and Isadora Duncan. I know things. How sweet it is--the fruits of victory!!!

And for Matt Holliday--the nuts of defeat!!!

This game was a fluke too, don't get excited.

We won that game because a highly paid athlete wants to have children someday.

Terrible baseball by both teams in both games.

But I gotta show some love for my boy Kershaw.

Certainly was a KO punch.....for Wolf & Kershaw!!

Definitely not counting chickens just yet, but the broom could well be in the other hands very soon. Keep making those predictions CD, it is a bonus for the Dodgers...:crossfingers:
