Take a damn positioned player for once int eh 1st round.
Using a stolen chant from Boston Celtics fans whenever an L.A. team is playing up there just reeks of inferiority complex.

If hitting a baseball is the toughest thing to do in sports, then pitching must be the easiest thing to do in sports.

The success of Logan White in rebuilding the farm system speaks for itself. A lot of teams avoid college players in the first round. If White had blown a lot of early-round choices, I'd be more worried about it.

Often times, position guys last past the 1st round, while pitchers go earlier, so maybe the idea is "get while the gettin' is good." Just a thought. I also agree with DC; the farm system, once the gold standard, is on the rebound during White's term in-charge. He must have some idea of what he's doing. And then there is the fact that he's got to function while under the auspices of McCourt - not easy or fun for anyone I would say.
