The Jeter/Sherman ownership group has had enough time to make some moves and has made their future plans plain for all to see. Was this the best way for a new ownership group to go? Should they have sunk money into the team with the existing roster and tried to compete? Was a rebuild wise? If a rebuild is the right way to go, has Jeter been executing it well or is he making it more difficult than it has to be?

    How are things going?

The Milwaukee Brewers have struck a deal to acquire outfielder Christian Yelich from the Marlins, according to Ken Rosenthal. Lewis Brinson and Isan Diaz are two prospects headlining the deal, outfielder Monte Harrison and righty Jordan Yamamoto rounding out the package.
