A QUICK ONE
It took only 1 hour and 59 minutes and Marlins RHP, Sandy Alcantara needed only 89 pitches to shut out the New York Mets for a 3-0 Miami victory. Alcantara primarily used his Fast Ball and Change Up, but also mixed in a few sliders and curve balls to go the distance and complete the two-hit, shutout. The Marlins had scored one run on a Double Play and squeezed another run in on a Sacrifice Fly, until Curtis Granderson gave them an Insurance Run, by hitting a solo shot, the 337th home run of his career. Alcantara was aided by some sharp Marlins defense. Only three Mets reached base all day, two by hits and one by a walk, but two of them were eliminated by double plays. The Miami victory today completed a rare Marlins Series Sweep!
