  • Ozzie Guillen fired

Well I suppose this really isn't a big surprise. Least he can sit at home and collect a free paycheck.
"(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. I always thought he was more sinned against than sinning." -- Connie Mack

"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)

Just another mistake signing from what turned out to be a brutal offseason last year especially with the money spent.
"Chuckie doesn't take on 2-0. Chuckie's hackin'." - Chuck Carr two days prior to being released by the Milwaukee Brewers

      The Marlins were terrible.

"The game was an unsightly jumble of misguided baserunning, shallow effort, erratic throws, oblivious fielding, injuries, plays that should have been called errors and one actual error — and that was just the Marlins’ output."

"Ozzie Guillen...kept his head buried in his hands most of the game. "

A day after a 16-1 loss to the Phillies, the Mets beat the Marlins in a stumbling display of baseball that ended a 9-game home losing streak.
The Mets have the best, smartest fans in baseball.

He was a bad choice from the start. Good bye, and good riddance.

I agree with the termination, but we also may have the WORST owner in MLB.
