                          Carter Capps, who has impressed with a fastball that has reached as high as 101 mph this season, was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a right elbow sprain. Arquimedes Caminero, another hard-throwing reliever, was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans.

                          • Marlins rained out in DC, no makeup date official

                            About the time the Marlins were wrapping up batting practice at Nationals Park on Tuesday night, the grounds crew was rolling the tarp onto the field in anticipation of heavy rains. About an hour later, roughly at 7:15 p.m. ET, the Marlins-Nationals game was postponed.
