JS Online: Walk won't get longer

There will be no new additions this year to the Miller Park Walk of Fame.

The Milwaukee Brewers announced Thursday that no former Brewers or Milwaukee Braves player or staff member received the necessary 75% vote for election to the Walk of Fame. Former Brewers outfielder Ben Oglivie was closest with 71% (27 of 38 ballots).

For the 2nd time in 3 Years the is no new member to the Walk of Fame for the lack of votes. I just hope it isn't a thing to come with no one able to get in for the voters can't agree on a given player.

It was inevitable that this was going to happen sooner or later. The organisation had to run out of legends to honor, they can't just enshrine the entire '82 team. A line needed to be drawn.

I can only hope this current Brewers team gives them a few more names for the Walk of Fame in the future.
