February 11th marks the 59th birthday of former Brewers slugger Ben Oglivie.

The power-hitting left fielder helped lead Harvey's Wallbanger Brew Crew to the 1982 American League pennant -- the only Brewers team to reach the Fall Classic.

Please add my "Happy Birthday" wish to Ben Oglivie, whose talents and hustling play were an absolutely essential part of the great Brewer teams of the late 70s / early 80s.

I might add that it's a damn shame he fell only 2 lousy votes short of becoming part of the Brewers walk of fame.........
