I was just checking out the latest USA Today Sports Weekly, which has its annual list of "100 Names You Need to Know" for the upcoming baseball season.

Two Brewer lefties, Manny Parra and Mitch Stetter, made the list. Parra was ranked 14th and Stetter 81st.

The folks at USA Today point out that this isn't a list of the top 100 prospects. They consider these guys to be the next wave of players coming into the majors who could make an impact in 2008. Not all of the players have rookie status but all played more in the minors in 2007 than the majors, or are coming from Japan.

The Sports Weekly yearly Top 100 Names to know is one I look forward too and I agree with Manny Parra but Mitch Stetter I think is one to get lost in the mix and they may be a year early on that.
