Capuano a man on a mission - Brewers Blog
Phoenix - Brewers pitching coach Mike Maddux says it is evident already in spring camp that left-hander Chris Capuano is a man on a mission.
"Unbelievable," said Maddux. "I think he really wants to silence the critics. No doubt about that."
Those critics surfaced when Capuano's 2007 season degenerated into a nightmare after a 5-0 start. He never won another game, going 0-12 with a 6.08 ERA in 18 starts before being banished to the bullpen. Toss in four relief outings that didn't go his way, either, and Capuano went home sitting on a personal streak of 22 consecutive losses for the team.
