  • Corey Hart - Center Field?

Why hasn't Hart been considered for center? As Brian Anderson loves to repeat during TV broadcasts, he's the fastest Brewer (in the 60 meter dash), and he's got a tall frame, and I think he's got a decent arm, at least, comparable to Gwynn, Cameron and Gross.

Yet, Ned seems to like to have him keep him in right. Discuss!

Honestly, I don't know why Yost hasn't tried it and I have no idea why it isn't discussed more amongst Brewer fans. It makes sense to put him in centre (probably more sense than moving Bill Hall from the infield to centre).

For this season at least it is a moot point. They have Cameron to play centre and I wouldn't move him to accomodate Hart. After this year though, it could be worth a try. I don't see Gwynn as an everyday Major League player and Gross has been underwhelming thus far this season.

To summise, it's worth a shot. Just not this season.

The Brewers have a surplus of outfielders. I think Hart would work great in CF, but Cameron will play their once he returns. That leaves you with Gwynn, Kapler and Gross. Someone's going to be the odd man out. Probably Gross, IMO.

Last year they had an army of outfielders, but when they lost Kevin Mench and Geoff Jenkins in the post-season, I thought the outfielder would be much lighter.
