Should get into the playoffs...but they won't go far because of our starting pitching

I've overrated them too many times before every year they sign big names. Last year Beltran and Pedro were signed they didn't meet their standards. The year Burnitz, Mo, and Alomar were signed they didn't meet standards either so I would expect a little over .500 winning percentage.Rest in Peace Jose Fernandez (1992-2016)

Barring any serious injuries, I'm expecting them to win 90+ games this year. I just hope the bullpen remains healthy."Heroes are people who are all good with no bad in them. That's the way I always saw Joe DiMaggio. He was beyond question one of the greatest players of the century."

Their starting pitching is so-so, but Wagner was a great pickup. You've got Pedro, and Glavine. But after that....who knows.
The Mets have got to learn how to beat the Braves. According to Street & Smith's Baseball magazine, the Mets lost 13 of 19 to the Braves last year. They play horribly when they play the Braves, and I don't know why.
I see them winning 85-90 games this year, but whether or not they make the playoffs will depend on how they fare against the Braves. They need someone to backup Pedro and Glavine to make that next step, I think.

Rotation is the only iffy thing on this team...rotation I see as:
1. Pedro
2. Glavine
3. Zambrano
4. Traschel
5. Heilman
I'd try to get Zambrano eventually phased out and put in Brian Bannister as part of the rotation. Alay Soler looks to be the Kaz Matsui of your pitching staff and you should be hoping for that contract to end soon as he is looking very hittable in major league ball. The Q: Can the Cubs hold a 6-5 lead with 2 outs and nobody on in the 9th?
The A: No
***********My Rant on Bud Selig***********
Selig is like a stray pigeon. Pigeons are too self-absorbed to care about anyone else. They poo on people they don't like; they poo on people they don't even know. The only real difference between Selig and a pigeon is that Selig intends to bury our heritage, our traditions, and our culture,

Letting Piazza go was a good move. His better days are definintely behind him. They upgraded defensively with Lo Duca at catcher. Piazza couldn't throw anyone out. His offensive numbers may not be as good as Piazza's, but with Delgado coming in, he'll more than make up for that.
If you're a Braves fan, you've got to wonder how they're going to do without Leo Mazzone there anymore. They've got Hudson and Smoltz, but beyond that, it's iffy. But, they've still got Bobby Cox...one of the better managers in baseball.
