    Mets just released a statement about John Maine, saying that the pitcher was examined in Birmingham, Ala. by Dr. James Andrews and that Andrews confirmed the original diagnosis of shoulder weakness made by Met physician Dr. David Altchek. Maine is continuing his rehab and strengthening program at the Mets’ complex in Port St. Lucie. No timetable was mentioned for Maine’s return.
