Mr. Franco lives in my area and on the off season I sometimes see him in the stores. One morning I was at the bagel store, buying what else,Bagels and Franco was talking to the owner, he looked over at me and nodded at me and I said to him,"Didn' you play baseball for Lafayette High School?" He nodded and said,"Yes." I replied with , "So what have you been doing with yourself lately?" He looked a little stun, then he laughed and I told him don't lose your sense of humor John.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today.

I also met John a couple of times many, many moons ago in the Marlboro Projects in Coney Island and he was very friendly and outgoing. At the time, for some reason he seemed to be more interested in learning how to box that playing baseball. Good thing he stuck with baseball.

The Q: Can the Cubs hold a 6-5 lead with 2 outs and nobody on in the 9th?

                The A: No

                ***********My Rant on Bud Selig***********
Selig is like a stray pigeon. Pigeons are too self-absorbed to care about anyone else. They poo on people they don't like; they poo on people they don't even know. The only real difference between Selig and a pigeon is that Selig intends to bury our heritage, our traditions, and our culture,
