I thought this topic was relevent enough to warrant a separate thread due to the history Neise has with this condition. Below is how ESPN is reporting this;
" New York Mets left-hander Jon Niese was pulled from Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals after tossing six scoreless innings as a precaution because he experienced a rapid heartbeat during the game. It was the same issue that forced Niese from a game last season at Texas as well.
Niese said the issue arose during the fourth inning, which coincided with him running the bases. His heartbeat had normalized by the completion of the Mets' 6-1 win, he added.
Manager Terry Collins said Niese will undergo medical testing Monday."
Let's hope that this doesnt become an issue for Jon. Not from a baseball standpoint, but from the perspective of his health.
