David Wright -- Gold Glove?

Amazing that with defense one would ask such a question without putting forth the numbers. Nobody would do that for Cy Young or MVP. Wright is mid-pack in fielding pct, range factor (plays made/game), and UZR (fangraphs #). By all measures Chase Headley or Placido Polanco !?! look to be having the best defensive seasons among NL 3B.

Wright's not the best-fielding 3B in the league - just the best 3B. No on the GG, but his defense has really improved (last night notwithstanding).Cleon Jones catches a deep fly ball in F. Scott Fitzgerald's Valley of the Ashes, and a second-grader smiles in front of the black and white television.
