I have no love for the Mets' ownership, but I blame Matt Harvey for ruining his career.

According to sources, at least 3 former MLB All-Stars, including Matt Harvey, have expressed their interest in playing in the KBO.

Would be a win-win scenario as Harvey gets a chance to rebuild his value and the KBO acquires a big name player for the league.

“I’m throwing bullpens once or twice a week,” Harvey said. “I hope I get the opportunity. I feel like I’m in high school again, where I have to showcase myself and start all over. I just want to put myself in position to be ready and if it doesn’t work out, to know I put the effort in to make a comeback.”

    Harvey after 3 starts:
    • 14.1 IP
    • 10.05 ERA
    • 1.953 WHIP
    • 43 ERA+
    • 11 K

Last start on Tuesday vs Brewers --- 4.1 IP, 7 hits, 6 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO.

    Not doing so good.

Harvey had a good first outing for the halos. 6 IP, 2 ER’s. Followed by Robles who got the win. Good for them.

    $11 mil + $3 mil in incentives.

That's a very good deal for him.

Very surprised that anyone would offer him that sort of deal right now.

The Angels have agreed to a deal with free-agent right-hander Matt Harvey, reports Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Harvey is represented by agent Scott Boras.

Boras is capable of coming up with anything.

I was praying he would get traded in December 2015, but it didn't happen obviously. He is a tough guy to root for.
Boras seems to come off as only looking out for himself (and his commission). And I get that... It's his job. But for all we know, they knew something was wrong (or going to be), and wanted to make sure that Matt wouldn't miss his chance at the brass ring when the time came...

It's my belief that he always knew success, and didn't know what to do when he didn't have success. Call it helicopter parenting (or managing), call it privilege, call it whatever you want... When he "lost it", he didn't know how to handle it. Any desire I had the Mets would keep him were lost when he stated, "I am a starting pitcher" when he was demoted to the bullpen. At that moment, he was no longer a professional ballplayer in my eyes... A person who played professional ball, yes. A professional, no.

"Man looks into the abyss. There is nothing staring back at him. It is at that moment when man finds his character, and that is what keeps him out of the abyss."

It was time to move on... and both sides knew it.
