  • According to sources, at least 3 former MLB All-Stars, including Matt Harvey, have expressed their interest in playing in the KBO.

Would be a win-win scenario as Harvey gets a chance to rebuild his value and the KBO acquires a big name player for the league.

    • I'm told there's no truth to the rumor that the Mets and Matt Harvey have mutual interest in a reunion. That ship appears to have sailed.

That rumor would make no sense. There was way too much sour grapes when he was here and he blames ownership for ruining his career.

I have no love for the Mets' ownership, but I blame Matt Harvey for ruining his career.
They call me Mr. Baseball. Not because of my love for the game; because of all the stitches in my head.

I got the impression he was more interested in the New York night life and being The Dark Knight Of Gotham than keeping himself in shape.

I think he enjoyed his celebrity. But I also remember how hard he must have worked in rehab to come off Tommy John surgery so successfully. He was 13-8/2.71 with a 5.08/1 K/BB ratio. Night life didn't cause his TOS, and TOS is what caused his decline.

Agreed. I was not a big fan of Harvey especially after I saw he much rather be on Page 6 than the back page, but he was a talent that had the unfortunate situation of TOS.

I remember saying how happily surprised I was to see him hit 95 mph after TOS. He just didnt have life, or command. TOS surgery is almost a guaranteed career ender -- at least it ends as you were.
