  • Bob Myrick, former Mets pitcher, passes away

    HATTIESBURG -- Robert H. "Bobby" Myrick, who pitched for the New York Mets from 1976 to 1978 and was former co-owner of Economy Supply in Hattiesburg, died Thursday after suffering a heart attack. He was 59.

    I remember Myrick. I still have a Mets "team-signed" baseball from 1976 with his signature stamped on it.

    P.S. I've notified BBR of both Myrick's and Parker's deaths.
    Put it in the books.

      I must admit I have no recollection of him, but in looking at his stats he would be the Met pen ace right now.
