A friend of mine and I already renewed our 15 game plan before the All Star Break so that we can be on the priority list to
buy tickets for the All Star Game that also comes with the Home Run Derby, the All Star Futures And Legends and the All
Star Game Fanfest at the Jacob Javits Center. If you get one event you get them all as the tickets for all of the events come in one strip. This year is the first year where with the 15 game plan you can pick any 14 games you want except for
Opening Day and the 3 games against the Yankees. And the 15th game would be your choice of either Opening Day or 1 game against the Yankees. We chose Opening Day.The friend that I got the 15 game plan with was gracious enough to let
me have both Opening Day tickets because I usually go with another friend of mine to Opening Day and I paid him the face
value price for his Opening Day ticket.I have been to the last 32 Mets Opening Days and the friend I usually go to Opening
Day with we have been going to Opening Day together the last 19 years ever since we met in September 1993.Plus,the
friend that I have the 15 game plan with doesn't want to go to any games against the Yankees.Plus, the way this new 15
game plan is structured it allows us not to pick any games in September if we don't want to just in case the Mets were out
of it plus we didn't want to pick a Met game that got in the way of football either so we didn't pick any games in September. Now the only thing about renewing the 15 game plan before the All Star Break is the Mets conveniently didn't
tell us how much the All Star Game and all the festivities that go with it are going to cost.So if it turns out that the All
Star Game and all the festivities that go with it end up costing a ridiculous amount of money that we can't afford then I
guess if that happens we basically renewed our 15 game plan before the All Star Break for nothing.Hopefully that won't be
    the case for our sakes.

Just for a frame of reference, I contacted the Kansas City Royals to find out how much a strip for All-Star Weekend 2012 cost.

Their response: "Our prices per strip range from $307 for standing room only up to $777 for our Dugout Box seats. Our premium area pricing ranges from $657 for our restaurant in the outfield to $1207 for Crown Club seats right behind home plate."

So there you have it. I think it will be reasonable to presume the prices for All Star Weekend 2013 will be higher. Keep in mind that ticket prices for All-Star Weekend are set by Major League Baseball, not the host club.

Even if the final price is out of your league, you may not have renewed "for nothing" - you can always sell the rights to your tickets, and you might be able to make enough to recoup some, if not all, of the cost of your 15-game plan. Don't know how the logistics would work, but if this is something that you might be interested in doing, the Citi Field Tickets & Concessions thread is the place to discuss it.

There's no "None of the above" for us mere mortals who go on a game-by-game basis. :hissyfit:
        Put it in the books.

Gary,What I meant in saying that we renewed for nothing I just meant doing it so far in advance right before the All
Star Break. We had to come up with the money before the All Star Break otherwise we wouldn't be on the priority list.
If this were any other year we would have paid right before the deadline in the offseason. So if there were no All Star
Game at Citi Field next year we would have still renewed since the average costs per ticket in the 15 game plan would
have been $20 each which is affordable. My friend and I feel that when the Mets get good again we will be glad that we
kept this 15 game plan. The only difference would have been that we would have paid right before the deadline in the
offseason just like we do every year.Thank you for all of the information regarding the 2012 All Star Game costs.I really
          appreciate it.

You can't renew what you don't have.
