Both teams in the mythical battle for last place, and they've both disappointed for different reasons. But as the hated Marlins come to Citi Field to "battle" - in the weakest baseball use of the term imaginable - the Mets, here's an interesting question to kick around.
Which team would you have rather have to build around? Which team's baseball future is brighter (leaving the stadiums/markets out of this). Who has the better group talent under contract? I think it's actually pretty close. Huge holes on both teams. I'm giving the edge to the Marlins, mainly because of the uncertainty about David Wright's future with the Mets. Thoughts?
