    Another nice one, Nick. One thing that doesn't come up in your piece is that Hicks spent time playing and managing in Nicaragua -- in fact, he married a Nicaraguan woman. Ted Schreiber, who also played a bit for the '63 Mets, played for Joe down there too and spoke highly of him.
