    I always forget that Kranepool was part of the 1962 Mets. Was he the only one who was on both the 1962 and the 1969 Mets?

      Al Jackson played briefly with the 1969 Mets, making nine relief appearances for the club after rejoining it in an October 1967 trade from St. Louis.

      Kranepool, as you noted, also played on both teams.

          June 25: Jim Hickman passes away about one month after his 79th birthday.
          An original 1962 NY Met. As a Chicago Cub he had the game-winning hit in the 1970 all-star game. That hit resulted in a play at the plate and the Ray Fosse-Pete Rose collision.

            As noted in the other thread, Bobby Gene Smith died in 2015.
